The Butterfly's Watery Heart: Rediscovering a Thousand-Year-Old Destiny

This story includes Giyu and Shinobu, Sanemi and Kanae, Obanai and Mitsuri, and all canon-pushed pairings. Apologies if any of these are a dealbreaker.

A strange incident takes place at the Wisteria Academy of the new era:

Someone jumps to their death in the early hours of the morning, yet their corpse keeps moving on its own. When the sun rises, the body turns to ash.

From the ancient fate-bound cycle of a bygone age, the Demon King who regarded immortality as a long dream has successfully possessed a host and returned to the human world from the darkness.

The child of divinity cannot reincarnate. He embodies the force that brings all fates to an end, and represents the beginning of this destiny.

The demon once burned by the flames of eternal torment bares his fangs.

The Pillars and Demon Slayer Corps, who once fought to the bitter end, search for their memories.

At last, the only demon in the present age beyond the Demon King’s control gets a chance for revenge.

With hearts rippling like water, the fate of a thousand years ago is reclaimed in the present.

When the Moon Pillar rises into the uncanny night and makes his entrance,

when the Ice Pillar begins to play beneath her bewitching charm,

when the Fist Pillar flies into a rage at the rebellious disciple,

everything will lead to the front lines of another decisive battle.
