Great Ming: Teaching the Empress to Rebel While Old Zhu Secretly Hears My Thoughts

Lu Yuan’s supermarket warehouse has a direct connection to the Ming Dynasty. While he was at it, he rescued a little girl who had fainted from hunger.

Before long, the girl started showing up every day with a short-tempered old man, both of them mooching meals.

And the most absurd part? The old man was Zhu Yuanzhang, and he had accidentally acquired the ability to [Read Minds]!

On the surface, Lu Yuan smiles warmly. “Old sir, this is called a world map. There are enormous gold mines out there.”

[Thinking to himself: Old Zhu’s temper is going to cause trouble for the Ming sooner or later. Once I use modern goods to monopolize the Ming economy and buy hundreds of overseas gold mines, I’ll just pile up gold bricks to put Little Sister Mingyue on the throne. She’ll become an empress who rules the world, and who’d dare object?]

After hearing this, Old Zhu sucks in a sharp breath, his scalp tingling. “Is this kid going to smash through my empire with money?”

To protect his throne, Old Zhu decisively switches to “showering him with favors” mode.

Lu Yuan needs money? Old Zhu sends him antiques bestowed by the imperial court!

Lu Yuan needs land for industry? Old Zhu grants him a hundred thousand mu of fertile fields to do with as he pleases!

And so the Ming Dynasty’s whole way of life veers completely off course.

Old Zhu becomes the supermarket’s unpaid security guard, and every day, what he fears most is hearing Lu Yuan’s thoughts.

The civil and military officials collectively break down. “Your Majesty, how did the entire Ming treasury end up as that modern shopkeeper’s private funds?!”
