Dual transmigration + empress + factional power struggles + a touch of humor + heroine with a Zhang San attitude + substitute trope
Before transmigrating:
Heroine: Lin Dandan, from three generations of doctors
Hero: Liu Heng, from three generations of officials
After transmigrating:
Heroine: Lin Tantan, an eccentric and violent emperor (in character and to outsiders)
Hero: Li Wenxing / Li Ouheng, a hardworking and devoted consort (at first)
This is a fictional setting, so its rules of etiquette differ from history. You can think of it as a world where men and women alike can be emperors.
Any resemblance or similarity between names is purely coincidental.
The first dozen or so chapters are told from the hero’s perspective as he watches the heroine.
(I regret not writing the story in chronological order. Comparing the hero and heroine as children, the heroine’s childhood storyline is more interesting. It hurts.)
Chapters 42 to 57 cover the events immediately after Lin Tantan transmigrates.
Around chapters 69 to 90 cover Lin Tantan’s childhood and family background.
The heroine isn’t upright and kind by nature. She’s more self-interested.
She’s not someone who follows the rules. She looks for loopholes or makes the rules herself.
She likes and dotes on her harem, but she cares more about her power and her throne.
