[Transmigrate into a book + mind-reading + woman disguises herself as a man + light political scheming + satisfying revenge + two equally matched leads, one-to-one romance]
Song Yun Zhao transmigrates into an old-fashioned tragic romance.
According to the original story, the woman she replaces gets caught up in the tragic romance and political intrigue later on, becomes bewitched, and conspires with the male lead, Prince Jing, to rebel. Her end is miserable.
Having inherited everything from the original owner, Song Yun Zhao has an epiphany on the spot: rebelling is a dead end, and she absolutely won't follow that so-called plot!
What she doesn't know is that the emperor can hear her thoughts.
Here's a short scene from the story. If you're interested, check out the full novel!
“Yun Zhao.”
“Your servant is here.”
“Since your injuries have healed, return to court tomorrow to discuss state affairs. During your absence, I've had to review memorials late into the night every day. I can't manage the affairs of the court without you.”
“...Your servant obeys.”
Song Yun Zhao looked respectful, but inwardly she couldn't help grumbling.
[What's with the emperor now? Isn't reviewing memorials part of his job?]
[One moment he's probing me about why I redeemed someone, and the next he's acting like he can't live without me. What a ridiculous drama queen.]
Xiao Xuan seemed to have grown used to her complaints. He only chuckled and strode out of the private room.
Author's note: The first five chapters move a little slowly as they establish the heroine's character. If you don't want to see her impeached and then turn the tables in court, you can skip straight to Chapter Six.
The only setup in the earlier chapters is that the heroine confiscates the homes of several powerful nobles during the salt tax case, including the home of the former minister who mentored Minister Dong. This creates some bad blood with Minister Dong, but it won't matter much if you skip straight to Chapter Six.
I like to see this type of heroine, who is principled, righteous, and has her own opinions. She also has high martial arts and a humorous personality. She will also influence the people around her in a subtle way. Even the original heroine is attracted by the current heroine. Apart from the original heroine, the most impressive ones are the eldest princess and Jiang Lian. They are not afraid of the powerful and talk to the ministers to help the disadvantaged. Later, Jiang Lian is also very competitive and knows how to be grateful, which is good. In addition, the current relationship is still relatively slow, and it is not the kind of love that suddenly falls in love. The male protagonist currently has trust in the female protagonist and is wary of it. It is more in line with the image of an emperor. You can read with some brains.
Why has it been removed from the shelves? I clicked on it suddenly and it disappeared. I squat every day to keep track of time😭
I've watched part of it now, it's great! The heroine is capable of literary and martial arts, and can battle with ministers verbally. Outside the court, he is also brave and resourceful, powerful and principled at the same time, and he also tries his best to warm others. The supporting characters are also intelligent, especially the male protagonist. (The emotional line is still relatively slow at the moment, not the kind that I like suddenly.) Currently, he trusts the heroine but is wary of her. I like this kind of normal setting. I don't like the kind of novel that is written as a love drama in one go. I hope it can be more interesting in the later period. Anyway, the writing is really good, go for the author.
2026/3/20, It's so beautiful, so interesting, and hilarious. I hope the heroine won't fall off the horse too quickly. Good review!

When I first read the new book, I was hesitant to read it and was almost persuaded to leave because of the new book. But after reading a few chapters, I found it very interesting, light-hearted and funny. The heroine is not aggrieved and has an eloquent tongue to fight with the scholars in court. This is the type of book I like to read.
Why was it suddenly taken off the shelves?
It's quite interesting. The heroine looks cold on the outside but actually has a lot of inner drama. It's interesting to watch. I hope the hero realizes that he has fallen in love with the heroine soon. I want to see him struggling in pain, while the heroine just quietly acts like a piece of wood and only cares about his career. In short, it's best if the hero throws all his flirtatious looks at the blind man.
Very beautiful and attractive. I like Mr. Song so much.
The heroine is very witty, super good-looking, extremely good-looking [OK]
