Fired from the Start: The System Gives Me a Retirement Fund of Ten Billion

Lin Chen, a miserable wage slave who had worked overtime for thirty-seven days straight.

After staying up for two nights to finish a proposal, he was summoned to the boss’s office before he could even close his eyes. “You’re being let go. N+1 compensation. Sign if you want, or don’t.”

Six years in the workforce, over two thousand hours of unpaid overtime, and eighteen instances of having his credit stolen, all for the verdict that “hard work isn’t worth anything,” before he was tossed out like garbage.

He had three hundred yuan left in his wallet, owed 8,300 on Huabei, and was 12,000 short on rent. Lin Chen crouched by the curb, feeling like he was living the life of a dog.

Just then

[Retirement System bound. Involuntary resignation detected. Evaluating contribution: 2,147 cumulative overtime hours, results plagiarized 18 times. Rank: SSS+ (professional sucker). Retirement payout: 100 billion (after tax).]

One hundred billion. Interest of 847 yuan per second.

His former boss called him “incompetent” in the company chat. His former colleague was taking credit for his proposal. His ex-girlfriend sent him a “concerned” message: “I heard you got fired?”

Lin Chen glanced at his account balance and smiled.

He didn’t leave the group chat or start a fight. He simply bought the entire office building where his former company was based.

“Mr. Wang, rent doubles next month. Your fifteenth-floor lease renewal? Canceled.”

Six years a workhorse, one day to turn his life around. The rules of this world were simple: when you’re weak, everyone takes a kick at you; when you’re strong, everyone has to look up.

At twenty-nine, with a hundred billion in retirement funds, he would make sure that from now on, everyone who had looked down on him would find him out of their reach.
