Pei Yuchen is the power behind the throne in A City, Bi Country. The Pei family has served in government for three generations, and he grew up surrounded by politics, receiving an education that placed power above all else. Su Nian'an started out as a little-known actress and rose to become a Best Actress winner at the Wanjin Awards.
When they met, Su Nian'an was still a little-known actress. She ran through heavy rain to a film set, hoping to land a supporting role. Pei Yuchen happened to be passing by and held an umbrella over her, soaked through as she was. He settled her in a villa in the east of the city, and gave her what little patience he had. When Su Nian'an wanted to see fireworks, Pei Yuchen set them off across the entire city at night. Her dream was to win Best Actress at the Wanjin Awards, so Pei Yuchen poured money and resources into her, taking her to events and helping her build connections. He never treated Su Nian'an like a parasitic vine; instead, he personally nurtured her into the most dazzling rose.
On the very night Su Nian'an won Best Actress at the Wanjin Awards, Pei Yuchen suddenly proposed ending their relationship.
In this game of love, who will win and who will lose remains to be seen…
