The author's writing is very realistic and satirical. It is very tense and pokes at the reader's emotions. The first chapter was quite depressing for me. The entire village is an accomplice, the abducted girl is isolated and helpless, in an extremely closed environment + collective evil + extreme despair and suffocation.
