Don't Call the Police Yet, Let Me Read Your Fortune First

[Urban] + [Xuanhuan] + [Taoist Priest] + [Comedy] + [Mystery] + [Wits and Strategy]

For divination, I don't read palms, I read legs: whoever runs faster than me tells me whether I should run too.

For fortune-telling, I don't read birth charts, I read faces: whoever looks the most miserable tells me how bad my luck will be today.

For rituals, I don't draw talismans, I draw maps: because half the talismans Grandpa left me are fake, and the other half have expired.

Sometimes my talismans work, sometimes they don't.

Sometimes I'm lucky, sometimes I'm not.

But my fate? That's always mine to decide.

I know talismans, but I'm always just a little short of making them work.

Taoist priests these days don't play fair. They just try to stay alive.

The story begins with the absurd sight of a groom kneeling to borrow my wedding car to “transport” an urn of ashes.
