Appliance repairman Yao Dali recklessly courts disaster by summoning lightning, and gets struck into the cultivation world, where he becomes a good-for-nothing with the same name. The good news: the remote control he brought along can tune magical artifacts, his rechargeable battery can store spiritual power, and his repair manual automatically translates into a "Magical Artifact Troubleshooting Guide." The bad news: every thousand years, this world undergoes a "System reboot," and all cultivators are "anomalous data" slated for deletion. So Yao Dali begins his path to proving the Dao. While others brave tribulations, he hits mute. While others fight, he repairs magical artifacts, and picks up a quirky junior sister along the way. When the villains bring out an ancient divine weapon, he quietly takes out his remote control. "Sorry, this device needs to be restored to factory settings."
