“Partner, are we really going to do this?”

In the dim Party Car, a flashlight beam fell beside the refrigerator. Xilian knew their target for the night was close at hand. But thinking about what they were about to do left her in a quandary.

Xilian turned to her companion, who was wearing a hood, and asked cautiously, hoping to change her mind. “Don’t worry, Xilian. March won’t find out.”

The voice was quiet and soft, yet utterly resolute, filled with unshakable determination.

“W-Well, all right, partner. I’ll always trust you.”

The refrigerator door slowly swung open, its cold light falling across their faces. A chill ran down Xilian’s back. Their target for tonight, the little cake March 7th hadn’t eaten and planned to save for tomorrow, appeared before them.

Xilian carefully lifted out the cake, its sweet aroma rushing to greet her.

“Click!” The Party Car lit up.

“March, Xilian stole your cake!”

“Huh? Ah…”
