Chen Yan, a mighty cultivator from a century-old immortal sect, hides away at Qinglan University, hoping for a peaceful life. But on the very day classes begin, cultivators from the sect surround the campus gates, shattering his plans to keep a low profile.
The gentle, soft-spoken medical student Su Qingyuan sees through his mortal disguise and becomes the first love he finds in the human world;
The decisive CEO Ling Yue arrives amid storms, becoming the strength at his side;
The spirited, willful young martial arts prodigy Chu Lingxi refuses to leave him alone, bringing warmth to his everyday life.
After a century of keeping his heart clear of worldly attachments, he has found someone he cannot bear to lose, and a line no one can cross.
Shen Jinghan, a powerful cultivator from an immortal sect, closes in on him step by step, threatening the people he protects: "Submit to me, or I'll destroy everything you cherish in the mortal world!"
Chen Yan raises his eyes. His century of cultivation bursts through the clouds, and spiritual energy shakes the heavens:
"I followed the rules of the immortal sect and never bullied mortals. I hid in the human world for a century and never sought conflict.
But whoever lays a hand on my people, I'll ruin their path to immortality and destroy their schemes!"
In this life, I seek neither ascension nor eternal life. I only want to protect the warmth of campus life, guard the women I love, and defend all that makes this world worth living in!
