Story Synopsis
The young Taoist Su Xuanling is sent down the mountain by his master to train in the ways of the world. By a twist of fate, he arrives at the home of Yu Kunsheng, a wealthy businessman in Hangzhou, and becomes his feng shui consultant. The Yu family appears wealthy and powerful, but under the surface, currents of intrigue run deep. Yu Kunsheng, the company chairman, lost his wife in middle age and is growing weaker by the day, while strange incidents plague his home. His newly married wife, Zhu Hongli, hides a vicious nature beneath her gentle exterior and has been secretly poisoning him with a slow-acting toxin. Liu Xiaofen, a secretary who bears a striking resemblance to his late wife, is innocently caught up in the conflict and repeatedly framed. His greedy elder brother, Yu Qiansheng, is manipulated by an enemy into coming to seize the family estate. Meanwhile, business rivals Hu Baiwan and his son Hu Fei have laid a deadly trap behind the scenes, using others to do their dirty work as they plot to wipe out the entire family.
Using the arts of Qimen Dunjia, feng shui, and Bagua martial arts to protect himself, Su Xuanling exposes the wicked woman's schemes one by one, rescues the young master Xiao Jie after he is kidnapped, and secretly moves the family's fortune worth tens of millions. At a critical moment, he also uncovers a plot to blow up the villa. With tactics that draw the enemy away and help them escape unnoticed, he saves the gravely endangered Yu Kunsheng, then moves the whole family to a remote island to escape. In the end, a massive explosion destroys the Yu family villa. All the villains are caught: Zhu Hongli is imprisoned, the Hu father and son get the punishment they deserve, the bald A Long dies in a car crash, and Yu Qiansheng is brought to justice and repents.
After the disaster, Su Xuanling uses his Taoist arts to bring Yu Kunsheng back from the brink of death. He and the gentle, kindhearted Yu Meiqi fall in love and settle down in Hangzhou. The young master Xiao Jie becomes his apprentice, carrying on the righteous traditions of feng shui, while Yu Kunsheng heads to Shanghai to make a fresh start.
There is no wanton killing or wrongful death in this book. It offers thrilling fights, wondrous feng shui arts, family feuds, and a heartwarming, happy ending,
