In modern Daxia, science and technology are advanced on the surface, but the underground is eroded by the "remains of ancient gods" and "mysterious pollution".
Once humans are contaminated, they will experience "abnormal symptoms" (actually the awakening of divine power or the seizure of their bodies).
There are 13 "absolute life restricted zones" across the country, which appear to be national-level scientific research/military facilities, but are actually prisons sealed by gods.
Among them, the most mysterious Zero Forbidden Zone (Abyss Zero) is buried 10,000 meters underground, sealed with layers of mechanical runes, and contains six "source-level anomalies" (remnant souls of ancient gods).
The protagonist accidentally obtains the highest authority in Abyss Zero and becomes the only person who can "talk to and extract" the power of these gods.
