Rule Horror: My Neighborhood Has 100 Rules

I moved into an apartment complex in Hangzhou for 800 yuan a month and found a living handbook of prohibitions.

Break a rule, and you won’t die

you’ll be replaced.

Your face is still yours, your body is still yours,

but you’re no longer you.

There are 100 deadly rules, but only 58 are visible.

Every rule you break adds a new prohibition,

and each new one means one fewer person remains alive.

I was forced to become the test subject,

actively violating every taboo and sacrificing myself,

all to fill in the final 42 blanks.

When the hundredth rule appears,

the seal underground opens, and another me steps out of the mirror.

And I will become the rules themselves, imprisoned here for eternity.

Every neighbor you see may not be human.
