Reef Light

I just went to the beach to collect a batch of old documents for someone. Unexpectedly, on the first night, I heard the words "Reef Bone Lamp" in the tavern where the dead man stayed. During the day, Wueel Port sells fish and salt, repairs nets and ships, and is no different from other broken ports on the seaside; but at night, the rising black water, the abandoned salt warehouse, and the old lamp at the end of the seawall that should not be lit will illuminate everyone as if they are hiding something. What's even more frightening is that I slowly discovered that the real secret of this place is not in the sea, but on the shore - among the people who seem to be the most ordinary, quietest and most well-behaved. It's not that they don't know what's in the sea, on the contrary, they've known it for too long. And the reef lamp that was turned on again was not to light the way for the living - it was to guide those things that should have sunk long ago back to the shore little by little.
