[Marriage first, love later + Fake and real heiresses + Age gap + Beautiful coroner VS cold, domineering CEO]
Shang Yan, head of the wealthiest family in Jing City, becomes a father at a young age. He has two requirements for a spouse: first, she must not love him; second, she must love his daughter.
Jiang Li is a coroner whose eyes see nothing but corpses. She’s as cold as the instruments in her hands, and her family looks down on her as someone unfit to be seen in public, forcing her to go on blind dates.
Unwilling to obey her family or settle for someone, Jiang Li marries Shang Yan and becomes a mother with no labor pains.
After they register their marriage, Shang Yan flies overseas to expand the international market. He doesn’t return home to see his new wife for a whole year.
Everyone assumes Shang Yan doesn’t like Miss Jiang at all, and that she’s just a convenient stand-in he found to placate the family elders.
Until one day, someone sees Shang Yan’s mysterious daughter carrying bags upon bags and waiting on Miss Jiang hand and foot like a servant. Shang Yan himself even gets out of his car to open the door for her, then insists on a kiss as his reward before closing it. Everyone is left wide-eyed.
Well, this is bad. It turns out Miss Jiang isn’t neglected at all. The father and daughter from the Shang family practically treat her like royalty.
At first, Shang Yan only sees Jiang Li as someone to care for like a daughter, but he never expects to fall in love with her against his will.
Facing the icy Dr. Jiang, Mr. Shang holds back until his eyes turn red. One quiet night, he loses control and presses her against the headboard.
“Mrs. Shang, when will you fall in love with me?”
“Mr. Shang, have you forgotten you said we’d get divorced if I fell in love with you?”
Mr. Shang is left speechless, then immediately scrambles up to tear up their marriage agreement.
Jiang Li stops him and hands him a piece of paper.
“Mr. Shang, congratulations. This time, you really are a father!”
It's quite good to watch, and the male and female protagonists are not inked, but the update just happened to be cut off when it was exciting 😂
