When Our Fate Contract Expires, You'll Be the One Begging on Your Knees

President Chu humiliates his secretly married wife in public again, calling her a mangy dog, then turns around to plan a once-in-a-century proposal for his beloved.

He doesn’t know that the car accident three years ago was a matter of life and death she struck with the King of Hell, trading ten years of her life to steal his back.

He knows even less that she has endured everything for three years just to wait for the day his contract with fate expires.

As he kneels beneath the spotlights, she walks down the red carpet and signs the divorce papers.

“Chu Linyuan, your right to keep living has been revoked.”

The crowd erupts. He sneers at her in scorn.

Then, at midnight, he spits up a mouthful of black blood. A line appears on his phone screen:

“You have seven days left to live.”
