I Hate Rainy Days

Can you believe it? On the first day of school, I got soaked to the bone and was so embarrassed I wanted to disappear on the spot. Then a senior in a white shirt appeared out of nowhere and helped carry my luggage. He was so tall, so aloof, and so quiet, but he crouched down to hand me a towel and said, “If you feel unwell, tell me right away.” I got carried away and asked for his WeChat on the spot, and he actually gave it to me!!! Only later did I learn that he wasn’t like that with everyone. He just didn’t know how to say it. He couldn’t say he liked me, that he missed me, or, “What am I supposed to do if you leave?”
