Lin Jin, a young man with a terminal illness, is dragged into a bizarre theater where the rules are cruel and every audience member is hanged in their own place. By borrowing from a “spirit medium” and paying the price in advance, he buys himself a chance to survive, only to discover that the script has already sealed his fate. To break free, he deliberately throws the story into chaos, awakening the resentment of thirty-seven “versions of himself” to fight the evil lurking onstage. Amid despair, he unravels the mystery of the copper coins, but at the cost of steadily losing his senses, memories, and emotions.
