Lin Wan marries Chen Mo with her son, Xiaoyu, and they form a family of four. She gives her stepdaughter, Duoduo, every bit of love and support she can, nurturing the girl’s talent for dance as if she were her own child. But after years of manipulation and indoctrination by her grandmother, Chen’s mother, Duoduo becomes twisted inside and sees Lin Wan as an "intruder" stealing her father’s attention and the family’s resources.
