This is a warm, comforting post-apocalyptic food-and-hoarding story with no romance and a touch of supernatural abilities. Su Ning is a sensitive, perceptive ordinary girl. Reborn with a pocket dimension nine days before the Red Mist sweeps across the world, she starts frantically stockpiling supplies and building a shelter. She lives a warm, peaceful life with her parents and kitten, faces a few minor hardships, and makes peace with herself, her parents, and the world along the way.
**That layer of mist was neither smoke nor cloud. It was bone dust drifting through the sky after the world shattered.
People called it the Red Mist.
It came from the fall that tore open the sky years ago. It was neither a meteorite nor dust, but particles from somewhere in deep space, carrying unfamiliar wavelengths. They hung in the stratosphere, filtering sunlight into a murky crimson, as if the Earth had been covered in a scorching veil.
So the daytime grew bleached white beneath the heat. The ground cracked, the rocks grew scorching hot, and the air burned the respiratory tract with every breath. All exposed life was being drained of moisture. Fifty degrees Celsius by day: the world was burning through its embers.
But once the sun set, the Red Mist stopped retaining heat, leaving only a deathly cold silence. Heat fled into space in an instant, and the land froze at a speed visible to the naked eye. Water vapor condensed into needles of ice, and the wind brought a bone-chilling crackle. Minus fifty degrees at night: the world lay dormant beneath the ice.
Good idea, a little bit thin
The heroine is not decisive in killing, she is cautious and rational. Recommended reading
