Even Monsters Have Tears

In the dead of night, deep in an old city alley, Chen Ming keeps a little shop no one knows about.

He drifted from the demon realm into the mortal world, carrying a deep blood feud. His parents and elder brother all died in a conspiracy. Alone in the world, he uses his little shop as a hiding place and offers just one kind of deal: a demon's tears in exchange for a mortal's wish.

Every tear shed by a demon in true sorrow is a healing elixir and fuel for tempering magical treasures. He quietly gathers them, all to repair his bonded magical weapon and return to the demon realm one day to repay blood with blood.

In his lonely years, he meets Xiao Sanzi, a hot-tempered young man with formidable skills. An unexpected friendship grows between the human and the demon.

By day, Xiao Sanzi teaches him talisman-drawing, qi cultivation, and meditation techniques. When night falls, Chen Ming still tends the string of clanging copper bells, waiting for demon customers weighed down by obsession and grief to walk through the door.

Xiao Sanzi joins him in facing the city's supernatural mysteries, slaying evil demons and foiling conspiracies. Chen Ming accompanies him in his cultivation as they search together for a space rift that can take them back to the demon realm.

One is quiet, the other restless; one cool, the other fiery. They stand by each other amid the bustle of mortal life and the grudges of the demon realm.

Demon tears fill the cup, a faint light shines on vengeance.

The little shop holds his restraint and the road home, and at his side stands his one true companion.

When the demon tears have been gathered and his magical treasure shines once more, he will break through the gates between realms, repay blood with blood, offer tears to heaven, and settle the old blood feud once and for all.
