At 28, she’s been unemployed for six months, her savings are almost gone, and her landlord is demanding rent.
Hua Zhu’s life hits rock bottom as she eats the last piece of leftover cake. She opens a simple-looking cooking game on her phone, hoping to escape reality for a little while.
The next morning, she wakes to find two cakes beside her pillow, exactly the same number the game listed as “unsold today.”
Hua Zhu discovers that food left unsold in the game appears right beside her in real life.
And so a mysterious street stall appears in the city, offering limited quantities every day. She can only sell as much as the game has left over, and she can only sell what the game makes.
Business takes off, she pays the rent, and life seems to be getting better.
Then the game displays a prompt: “Would you like to unlock the ancient-era section?”
From then on, her customer list includes people dressed in ancient clothing: Shen Mo, a finicky food critic; Xin Yi, a merchant’s daughter with a gift for medicinal herbs; and a little boy who crouches by the stall and drools...
Before she knows it, she has become the best cook in two worlds.
Dual storylines: building a modern street-stall business × running an ancient-world food business, with the two worlds taking turns as the story progresses and the protagonist continually growing.
A golden finger that unlocks gradually: from turning game items into real goods → running the business through a clone → transmigrating in person, with each stage unlocking in turn.
Hard-and-fast System rules: time limits, currency conversion, and an inventory system.
No romance, focused on building a business: the protagonist is all about work, not romance.
Food as comfort: from a complete beginner who can’t cook to a chef with maxed-out skills.
It's good to watch, but I don't like watching ancient dramas. Boring, can't stand it anymore. The protagonist wishes he could live in ancient times
It's pretty good to watch without thinking, there's no way to go into detail.
The subject matter is more daily. Although many parts are written in a relatively novice and too detailed manner, it just happened to be stuck at a point where I almost feel that it is a running account. It is quite magical. I don't know how the author wants to write it now. If it is just for daily use, I may get tired of it soon. I hope the author can master it. I have read more than half of it now, so I may save up to read it again. Come on, author [Blow kiss] And there are some parts that I can't think too deeply about. Overall, it's a daily show that lets you lose your mind and relax. However, those who know more about ancient times may feel a little high blood pressure after watching it. Since you are a novice, don't have too high expectations. So far, it is still watchable.
The subject matter is good, but the good character of the heroine in the ancient mission is a bit difficult to express 🤦 But it is not about being generous to others, it is about the heroine herself being willing to do good people and good deeds. It's just that I have a hard time following this kind of plot, it's not the author's fault 😂
It's very good, especially listening to books. Although it's very daily, this is also an advantage. The pace is not fast, and you can do other things while listening. No big surprises.
Very well written, recommended! Recommend!
Good looking, good looking, good looking, good looking, good looking
This subject matter is very good! Hope the author sticks to it!
A very novel theme, the plot is slow and heartwarming. But some details are too detailed
