When "fast" became the only criterion, he chose an incredibly "slow" path.
Zhang Mingyuan, a middle-aged bankrupt, renovated a dilapidated old house into an inn "Yun Shen Shen" in Yunnan. He does not make standardized copies, but instead insists on "one store, one story", deeply exploring local culture, hiring and training indigenous people, and protecting endangered craftsmanship.
In the past ten years, "Yunshenchen" has grown from a single store to a brand with more than ten branches, and has also spawned a business ecological alliance with more than fifty partners. They have protected hundreds of old buildings, passed down dozens of old craftsmanship, and created thousands of jobs.
This book tells a vivid example of "business for good": how to use the power of business to protect culture, and how to use the warmth of culture to feed back business, and ultimately achieve symbiosis and win-win for individuals, communities and culture.
