Bai Lu's Unlucky Boyfriend Makes a Comeback at Back to Field

Also known as: [Eight Years After Debuting, He's Still a Rookie]

Lin Yuan transmigrates into the body of a professional fall guy.

His alter ego has a nickname: the entertainment industry's most familiar stranger.

Eight years after his debut, he's made eight dramas and appeared in eight more. One hit after another, but none of them made him famous.

His first drama had only been airing for a couple of days when the male lead was arrested for soliciting a prostitute. The show was pulled, and nobody remembered that Lin Yuan was in it.

The second drama received rave reviews, but then the supporting actor was investigated for tax evasion. The whole internet filled with AI face-swaps, and Lin Yuan's scenes were replaced with footage of a bald man.

The third drama was still airing when the supporting actress was exposed for tax evasion. The show was pulled, and just as Lin Yuan's name started trending, it was removed from the hot-search list.

Another drama had just wrapped filming. Lin Yuan hadn't even gotten to see how his performance turned out before the male lead's affair scandal landed him in prison.

Eight years, zero fans who recognized him, zero memorable roles, and zero savings. People in the industry called him “the cleanest person in show business,” because everyone he worked with ended up behind bars, while he was always fine.

Lin Yuan looked at himself in the mirror and smiled. “Heavens, you've given me one brutal script.”

The next day, Huang Lei called. “Xiao Lin, come help out in the kitchen at Mushroom House. Teacher He wants to try your braised pork.”
