Synopsis of "My Intelligence Stayed the Same While the Whole World’s IQ Dropped a Thousandfold"
On May 19, 2026, the IQ of everyone in the world dropped a thousandfold.
Everyone became an idiot. Some talked to walls, some crouched by the roadside drawing circles, and some jumped off rooftops because they wanted to fly.
Li Yari didn’t become an idiot. He had no idea why.
When he left the dorm, he met Zhao Lu. The two walked along the deserted streets and found an idiot crouching by the roadside, drawing circles. He couldn’t talk, only laugh. Li Yari told him to follow, and he did.
They called him “Follow You.”
More people joined them as time went on: the impulsive Wang Yu, the timid Ye Zichen, Yan Sanfan, who pretended to be an idiot, and the silent Ji Gaoyu. Seven of them squeezed into an empty shop to discuss what they should do the next day.
Later, they received a message from Binhai City: “We’re on our way.”
The sender was Zhu Yiming. He couldn’t remember why he was going to Binhai City. All he knew was that he had to return to Beimobei.
What he didn’t know was that someone in Beimobei had been waiting for him all along.
The idiot who drew circles.
A lot more happened after that. There was the armed police officer Black Hound, the chatterbox chef Liu Heigui, two young assassins who were inseparable, and someone in a white coat waiting for them among the ruins of Binhai City.
But all of that was a long way off.
For now, they had only seven people, a beat-up camper van, and a whole world gone stupid.
And one idiot who never spoke, only drew circles.
This is a story about forgetting and remembering.
When the whole world has become foolish, the most precious things are neither intelligence nor strength.
They are remembering one another.
