By the time Shen Yicheng stood beneath that office building, half the iced Americano in his hand had melted. Beads of condensation covered the cup and trickled down through his fingers. He looked up at the building, which rose more than thirty stories into the sky. Its exterior was covered in dark blue glass curtain walls that glinted painfully in the sunlight, completely out of place beside the surrounding old residential buildings.
“Monster Employment Placement Center of the Monster Administration...” Shen Yicheng muttered as he read the employment notice on his phone, then glanced at the bronze plaque beside the building entrance: “Branch of the Third Industry Development Promotion Association of Anheqiao Subdistrict.”
Great, the same old routine again.
