Lu Qingci was an inheritor of the art of porcelain-making. To his surprise, he transmigrates into the home of an ordinary porcelain maker in ancient times. Faced with a house stripped bare, Lu Qingci thinks that at least he has his porcelain-making skills, or he wouldn’t know how to survive. Once his family is settled, he plans to take the imperial examinations. Of the four traditional occupations, scholar, farmer, artisan, and merchant, becoming an official seems the safest bet. Though he was a top student in the modern world, the ancient imperial exams are no easy feat. Fortunately, he has a good teacher and works hard himself. He studies the Four Books and Five Classics while continuing to make porcelain, then later travels to learn about agriculture and criminal law. Thankfully, all his efforts pay off, and he passes the exams as the top candidate. (There are no romantic pairings in this story. If that bothers you, please don’t read it. This is a newcomer’s first novel. Feel free to leave comments with suggestions, and I’ll keep improving. Thank you 🙏)
