They Forced Me to Bear a Child, and Now the Father's Come Looking for Me

Synopsis:

Liu Shuangshuang was sold to northern Myanmar by her boyfriend. Forced into sex work, she would rather die than comply, and was beaten to death by accident.

After dying, she woke up in the body of a village woman with the same name, Liu Shuangshuang, a timid and weak wife who had been sold there.

Every day, she had to do endless chores and endure several beatings. Since she had no children, the villagers pointed at her and called her a barren hen.

But the truth was that Wu Yong was the one who was impotent. There was nothing wrong with her. So she spent a year plotting her escape, and put her plan into action on a stormy night. Just when she managed to climb onto a peddler's cart to get away, she passed out.

When she woke up, she realized she'd climbed into the wrong cart, and had thrown herself at the village bully's leader.

“You promised to get me out of that house. Are you going to keep your word?” she asked, her face full of hope.

“Without your contract of sale, you can't go anywhere.” Wu Lie raised an eyebrow.

Back at Wu Yong's house, Liu Shuangshuang heard that they were going to sell her off on a contract. She told the man about it.

He began plotting, and she was sold to him.

She thought her good days were finally coming, but then the man disappeared after getting into trouble.

Months later, he returned and told everyone in the village that the child she was carrying was his.

“Since you forced me to get pregnant by another man, the father of the child has come to claim it. Are you happy now?” Liu Shuangshuang said coldly, then raised a stick and beat the mother and son.
