Jiang Wanqing, formerly an attending physician at a top-tier hospital, dies in an accident and is reborn in the 1970s, taking over the body of a young educated woman being forced into a substitute marriage. After awakening her space, she promptly reports her corrupt stepmother and biological father, cuts ties with them, and applies to go to the countryside.
Settling in Qingshan Village, she saves lives with her medical skills and earns a reputation for remarkable feats: easing illnesses with silver needles and driving off beasts with flying stones. The villagers go from mocking her to respecting her.
She meets the badly wounded special forces soldier Zhan Xiao by chance and saves him in the rain, beginning a marriage-before-love romance. He's stern and fiercely protective; she's bold and clever. Together, they foil conspiracies, fight evildoers, and build a life in the military.
From barefoot doctor to celebrated woman in the military, she uses her space to farm and practice medicine, and her ability to negotiate as deftly with force as with words to make her place in military life.
A warm and authentic tale of a reborn doctor fighting her way to success against all odds.
