When I discovered that this world was actually a testing ground for advanced civilization, and that all practitioners would eventually become energy batteries, I decided to use mechanical engineering to rewrite everything. The rotation of gears replaces hand-knotting techniques, and the calculation of the differential engine replaces the deduction of heavenly secrets.
