The apocalypse arrives, and order collapses.
Lin Zhisui awakens a spatial ability, widely dismissed as a “domestic” power, and serves as the team’s put-upon support healer.
Until the day zombies surround the city and his teammates betray him, pushing him into the horde as bait.
Just as all hope seems lost, a bolt of lightning tears through the sky.
The legendary killer who shows no mercy, the thunder-wielding powerhouse Li Nanye, strides over a field of corpses.
Ignoring everyone’s cries for help, he walks straight up to Lin Zhisui and wipes the grime from his cheek with a bloodstained finger. His voice is hoarse and possessive:
“Come with me. This world is too filthy. I’ll take you home.”
Later, everyone in the base knows:
Li Nanye’s lightning can shatter city walls, but it always steers clear of Lin Zhisui.
Lin Zhisui’s spatial power can grow anything, but he only cooks for Li Nanye.
[Bonus Scene]
One day, someone sees Li Nanye corner Lin Zhisui against a wall. His eyes are red, and his tone is fierce, yet tinged with desperation:
“Lin Zhisui, if you ever hurt yourself again trying to save someone else, I’ll chop that unlucky bastard into pieces and feed him to the dogs.”
Lin Zhisui helplessly pats his head, a healing green light glowing in his palm. “All right. Whatever you say.”
Li Nanye immediately calms down and buries his face in the crook of Lin Zhisui’s neck, like a big cat being petted.
“He is my god, and my only weakness.”
I've read about 1/3 of the way so far, and I think it's really well written. First of all, there are not many problems in describing the protagonists. The two protagonists have very distinct personalities. The growth line of the weaker protagonist is very clear. The only thing I have a little regret about is the description of the supporting characters. I think if you want to make the group more exciting, you should work harder on the description of everyone in the team. So looking at the development of the relationship line, the relationship between the two people is relatively natural, including the restraint and forbearance of one party who actually returns with the memories of the previous life. The feelings are actually described quite well. Apart from the love between the two of them, their orientation is actually there, and it is quite touching, because there is betrayal, separation and the latter. It's good that Unity has this kind of conflict point, but it's just because of the deviation in the description of the protagonist of other supporting characters that the group portrait is not so deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. But I think it is there, and it made me remember it, and it moved me. As for the worldview and framework, I actually don't think there are many new points, including the apocalypse and superpowers. Actually, I haven't mentioned anything that is particularly different from the books I've read. But at the moment, there aren't too many logical problems. The main reason is that there must be some minor problems in the construction of the character line. It's just the protagonist group that's missing. You include the girl who was inexplicably rescued from the hospital. What do you want to express? In fact, it was not expressed, so another doctor appeared later. Why did you want to add it? In fact, I don't seem to understand it very well at the moment. As for Xiaoyue, there are many pictures at the back that have almost zero descriptions of him, and I don't understand why they appear. I didn't finish it in the end, so I hope the rest of it won't disappoint.
The description is delicate when it is warm, and it is inspiring when it is violent. The end of the world exposes the bottom line of human nature, and the end of the world also pursues the deep warmth of human nature. The author writes really well.
A very good novel ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
