He went from one family to another, then eventually returned to the orphanage. From then on, he stopped speaking and shut himself away from the world.
One day, the orphanage caught fire. He went to save the younger boys and girls, and never came back out.
As it happens, the original Lu Yan died of a high fever, and that's when he arrived.
