Siheyuan: Don't Call Me Silly Zhu, Call Me Boss He

He Yuzhu returns to the year before the tragedy begins.

For decades, the people in the courtyard had used moral pressure to manipulate him. He devoted himself to helping Qin Huairu’s family, sending his wages, ration coupons, meat, and vegetables to the Jia family without end. In return, all he got was one endless demand and scheme after another from every member of the family.

Now that he’s reborn, he throws off the label of “good-natured Silly Zhu.” Anyone who tries to bleed him dry will get a brutal response. He won’t spare a single one of the greedy Jia family members.

Huaihua and Banggeng still presume to rely on their past relationship with him, demanding his property and a secure job as if they’re entitled to them. They even use marriage to threaten and coerce him into continuing to provide for them.

Faced with their brazen demands, He Yuzhu refuses to back down any longer. He roars, “All of you, get out!”

He’ll no longer indulge ungrateful leeches or subject himself to endless turmoil. With his exceptional skills as a chef, he seizes the opportunities of the times, saves money, buys property, and leaves the chaotic courtyard behind to live a satisfying life entirely on his own terms.
