Zhou Man, a female teacher in the county town, is twenty-six years old and has lived alone for three years. On a snowy night in winter, she almost slipped at the entrance of the supermarket and was supported by a man named Ana Shen. He lent her a black umbrella, turned around and walked into the heavy snow.
Later she found out that he was a civil servant writing materials for the county government. He was not good at talking about love, but he could stamp "Happy Birthday" with his feet in the snow, wait for her in the cafeteria for three hours just to deliver a bowl of noodles, name her pothos "Zhou Xiaoman", and clumsily wipe away her tears when she cried.
This is a slow-paced, gentle love like a soft-boiled egg that takes place in a small county town.
Starting from an umbrella, we ended up with a bowl of porridge, a jar of Laba garlic, a New Year's Eve, and a long kiss by the river. They had their own trivial jobs, the warm company of relatives and friends, and also had their share of minor misunderstandings and twists and turns. But two people who were not good at expressing themselves slowly learned how to love someone, how to be loved by someone, and how to turn "I" into "us" in this humble little town.
This story was written from the snowy night to the end of my life.
If you also believe that the best love is not a grand love, but someone who is willing to accompany you to eat well, live well, and be together well - then this story is written for you.
