In 2008, Chen Jingfeng was released after serving his sentence, only to find his family and factory ruined. His younger sister was being harassed by local thugs, and he could barely scrape together a decent meal.
With no way to make an honest living, he turned to the underworld.
From night manager at the Jinsha International Club to the boss of northern Zhejiang;
from a convict everyone wanted to see punished to Brother Feng, respected by both sides of the law.
In thirty years of northern Zhejiang's underworld, there has only ever been one Chen Jingfeng!
I have been in the book world for so many years, and I have read at least 100 underworld books, but this book really won me over. There are no tricks to subdue one's wits, and no awkward pretense to the point of picking one's feet. The world has a decent flavor, the characters stand upright, and the plotting and ruthlessness are written with great depth. The more you read, the more you get into it. The old bookworm rushes with his eyes closed, it is definitely a good product that can beat the bottom of the box.
