Working in the Underworld: From Odd Jobber to Yama's Right-Hand Man

I pulled an all-nighter and dropped dead, only to open my eyes and find myself dragged into the underworld. I was about to drink Granny Meng's soup and reincarnate when the [Underworld Employee System] forcibly bound me. My allotted lifespan wasn't up, so I had to work off my sins. Fail, and my soul would be annihilated!

While others became underworld officers and ghost generals, I started at the very bottom as a menial laborer, sweeping up vengeful spirits, clearing garbage, and guarding the Bridge of Helplessness. Old ghosts bullied me, underworld officers mocked me, and ghost generals schemed against me.

But no one knew that the harder I worked, the stronger I got, and the harder I hit!

Clear away vengeful spirits and gain netherworld divine power;

Discover a bug in the underworld and earn a divine weapon and ghost soldiers; put down a ghost uprising and get promoted straight into a position of power; cross back to the mortal world and beat the enemy who killed me to a pulp!

From menial laborer to patrol officer, from underworld general to ghost marshal, I slap down villains, reform the underworld, recruit powerful ghosts, and befriend Granny Meng and Ox-Head. Even the Judge has to show me respect.

Then one day, I suddenly realize I'm no ordinary dead soul. I'm the reincarnation of an ancient Nether Lord!

The underworld is in chaos? I'll restore order!

The underworld courts are unjust? I'll reform them!

The Three Realms are under attack? I'll stand against it!

From a lowly worker, I fight my way to become the supreme King of Hell, ruling over yin and yang and commanding the cycle of reincarnation!

Work a job? I'll just make the whole underworld my domain!
