This is a truly recorded dream.
At three o'clock in the morning, Lin Nian woke up from his sleep - there was a snake on the bed. She picked up the knife and chopped it down, leaving the snake unharmed. She threw the quilt under the bed and said tremblingly: "Let's go."
The next day, she told her colleagues about the incident. Just as he was talking, the snake crawled out from under the bed. It didn't attack anyone, it just looked at Lin Nian pitifully and tried to get closer again and again. Colleagues held it easily and called it "cute" and "obedient". But Lin Nian could only retreat again and again.
What's even weirder is that when the second dream came - an underground palace where demons were dancing, spreading acidic substances, and the absurd "gods in the toilet" - Lin Nian discovered that the snake was always by her side.
It followed her for sixteen years.
This time, she decided to turn back and take a good look at it.
Based on the author's real dream, it is a story about fear and reconciliation.

I cried countless times while writing this book
This book is based on a real dream I had.
There was a snake in the dream. It was silver-white and could not be cut to death. I was scared to death, but it looked at me pitifully. After I woke up, I sat on the bed and thought for a long time - what was it trying to tell me?
Later I turned it into a story. As I wrote, the snake turned into a grandma. My grandma said before she was alive that she would turn into a snake and come back to see me. I always thought it was a joke. When I wrote this book, I realized that she was not lying.
And Chen Ye. This character suddenly appeared in my mind while writing. I don't know where he came from, but he stood there and wouldn't leave. He told me that he had waited for twenty years, protected someone for twenty years, and never let her know. I cried as I finished writing his story.
This book is about fear, but also about reconciliation. It's loss, but also reunion. It was a man who had been waiting for twenty years and was finally seen.
If you have lost someone, if you have been trapped by fear, if you also want to know what "love returns in another form" looks like - this book is for you.
Thank you to everyone who reads this.
