Lin Feng, the First Heavenly Venerable of the universe, was ambushed by his closest lifelong friend and a powerful enemy of equal standing during the ultimate tribulation of transcending the heavens to become a Sovereign.
His body and Dao were destroyed.
His supreme cultivation vanished, and his foundation, forged over countless ages, crumbled.
In the end, it was the woman who had always loved him who fought with all her strength to help a wisp of his remnant soul escape. After drifting through the universe, he fell into the mortal world and was reborn in the body of a boy from an insane asylum.
He thought his path to the Great Dao had ended.
Then he discovered that this body, dismissed by the world as a madman's useless shell,
was in fact a Chaos Dao Body perfectly attuned to his essence.
When the Heavenly Venerable's soul awakened and the Chaos Dao Body returned to its rightful master,
the iron gates of the asylum could no longer hold this supreme being who had defied fate and returned.
For the betrayal of the past, and the hatred he bears toward foreign races,
he will exact payment in blood.
In this life, he will forge a supreme path anew and sweep across the myriad heavens,
returning to the summit of all worlds in the form of Chaos!
