Zhuang Zixiao, an ordinary student at a third-rate university, is a laid-back Honor of Kings player who has been stuck in Bronze V for years. After a night of loss after loss, he unexpectedly binds himself to the Canyon God-Tier Modification System. With features like unlimited gold and cooldown-free abilities, he wreaks havoc in the game, crushes streamer newbies, and rockets up the ranks, becoming the internet-famous “Canyon’s Number One Rat.” But the thrill the System brings vanishes in an instant. Without it, he is right back in Bronze, and the reality leaves him lost. After grasping the true meaning of esports, he seals away the System and hones his skills through sheer practice. He brings together a ragtag group of teammates to form the Wildpath team, advancing from internet cafe tournaments to city and provincial competitions, and finally to the national stage. After hitting rock bottom when teammates betray him and the team falls in the finals, he rebuilds the team and makes a comeback. They eventually turn the tide and claim the national championship, transforming him from a Bronze-tier rat into a true esports king and proving that passion and perseverance are the Canyon’s strongest “golden finger.”
