From the Start, I Have Yin-Yang Eyes: Rebuild the Underworld and Control Reincarnation

He seems blessed by the gods, yet bound by suffering.

Ji Yan has been able to see things others can't since childhood. When he was little, he didn't understand, and blurted everything out without a second thought. From then on, "jinx" and "monster" became names that followed him everywhere.

The happiest time of his life was after he was adopted. He had parents, an older brother, and a name: Ji Yan.

But a car accident took them away.

He couldn't help wondering if he really was a jinx. Had his birth parents died because of him, and now his adoptive parents had died because of him too?

Ji Yan was consumed by guilt.

Yet the gods still cast a merciful gaze upon this child.

His parents stayed by his side in another form, and his brother did everything he could to pull him out of the abyss.

"If this is the only way I can keep seeing them, then let this curse stay with me forever."

But the arrival of a little turtle made him understand everything.

Then a weighty responsibility, as heavy as a mountain, settled on his shoulders.

Ji Yan tried to escape, but it was no use, so he gave up trying.

Through one mission after another, he finally understood his duty. No one had to push him forward anymore. The little child had grown into an adult capable of standing on his own.

"Reincarnation is a different kind of parting. One day, we'll meet again."

"Mom, could you hold me one last time?"

"I'm tired. I really... just want to sleep."

"Then let me take you all home." -- Ji
