Hey! The foreign devils have started their great voyages of discovery?
What! Their ships have sailed right up to our doorstep?
Li Chang'an, a modern man with a background in science and engineering, finds his soul transported to ancient times, right in the midst of the West's Age of Exploration. The Great Qian Dynasty is rotten to the core, and its people are suffering.
Using his modern knowledge, he lights the spark of industry, develops agriculture and manufacturing, breaks monopolies, and tears down the class system.
When barbarian hordes invade and foreign fleets swagger at the gates of the realm, he has already built an industrial empire spanning the East. He conquers the barbarians with modern weapons and crushes the foreigners with mighty ships and cannons,
using the power of steel and industry to shatter colonial ambitions and reshape the world order.
