In this world, nothing is more cruel than time, and nothing is more gentle than time. It washes away everything and precipitates everything.
I wanted to write a story about waiting—not the grand kind of waiting, but the almost imperceptible waiting hidden in the folds of daily life. Wait for a person to grow up, wait for a person to look back, wait for a person to find that he is already in love.
This story takes place in Shanghai. This city is like a huge ship, carrying all kinds of people sailing on the river of time. Some people get on the boat, some get off the boat, and some always stand on the deck, watching the scenery change on both sides of the strait.
As for the people in my story, they met, missed, and reunited on this ship, and finally discovered that the person they were looking for had been on the same voyage all along.
If you're ready, we'll start in the fall of 2013.
