Synopsis

The story takes place in Zhaoming Realm, an ancient parallel world whose survival rests on the "Order of Heaven and Earth."

Everything under heaven has its own "order": the human body has the "order of the body," encompassing bones, sinews, qi, and blood; thoughts and emotions have the "order of the mind"; and lifespan and death have the "order of fate." Plants and trees have the "order of things," governing growth and decay; day, night, and the seasons have the "order of time"; and mountains, rivers, and ley lines have the "order of the land."

All living beings survive by "conforming to order." By following its laws, they can draw "order energy" from the world and strengthen themselves. Those who "defy order," however, gain power by plundering, altering, and destroying the order of others and of the world. They might steal an ordinary person's order of fate, leaving them insane or dead, or go so far as to disrupt the order of time and land, bringing natural and man-made disasters.

Over the past century, "order fissures" have grown increasingly common in Zhaoming Realm, and the order of Heaven and Earth has continued to collapse. Ten years ago, the Orderguard Sect, the foremost sect charged with protecting order, was wiped out overnight. There were no signs of a struggle at the scene, only the words written in blood: "Order fissures, Heaven falls; those who guard it must die." It remains the greatest unsolved mystery in Zhaoming Realm.

Any Old-School, Traditional Eastern Fantasy Cultivation Novels for Female Readers?

Looking for something like I Get Caught Up in Internal Strife in the Cultivation World. Cultivation and fantasy novels these days feel pretty modern. I've read books with Ye Linglong, Lin Du, Qin Shu, and Sang Nian, and they were good, but I'm getting tired of that style. I'd like some traditional novels from a few years ago.

Traditional Fantasy Cultivation Novels, Come Get a Taste

Looking for something like The Emperor of Canghai. [A different kind of classical fantasy, a different kind of "journey to the highest realm"] √ Classical prose, poetic imagery, and fight scenes painted like ink-wash landscapes √ Intricate plotting, foreshadowing laid hundreds of chapters ahead, and a world that unfolds with each volume √ The protagonist
