The story begins with a well in Qingshui Village and ends with a wedding on the Yangtze River. In seven years, Li Zhengming grew from a grassroots judge to the deputy president of the Supreme People's Court, witnessing and participating in the progress of China's environmental rule of law.
This is of course a fictional story, but many cases, many difficulties, and many persistences in the story are derived from reality. In China, there are thousands of "Li Zhengming", "Lin Weiwei", "Chen Tao" and "Xiuying". They work silently for the advancement of the rule of law and environmental protection in their respective positions.
The rule of law is not built in a day. It requires the efforts of generations, specific cases, difficult judgments, and legal provisions that are continuously improved. This process will have twists and turns, iterations, and sacrifices, but the direction is forward.
