The 1980s: I'm the Troublemaker in the State-Owned Factory Compound

In Jiangcheng in 1982, one side is the chaotic Huangnichao, while the other is a state-owned factory where everything runs by the book.

Jiang Ye is the “living King of Hell” of Huangnichao. If anyone messes with her, she’ll chase them over three ridges. Shen Yan is the “punching bag” at the machine-tool factory. Everyone walks all over him, and all he can do is bow his head and say, “Sorry.”

Everyone thinks a wild boar has charged into a cabbage patch, and that tender little cabbage is done for.

Jiang Ye thinks so too. She protects him like a new underling she’s taken in.

Until she discovers that this “underling” secretly works as a middleman, and when it comes to scheming against people, he’s far more ruthless than she is when she corners them and cusses them out. His awful stepmother and stepsister seem to get everything they want, but in truth he’s been leading them step by step into a trap he dug long ago.

Jiang Ye looked at the harmless-looking “soft touch” smiling before her and, for the first time, fell into deep thought.

So which one of them is the prey?
