Please Keep Listening

My name is Lin Yi. I'm twenty-five, and the most forgettable late-night host at the Qijiang City radio station.

For the paycheck, I took over a show called “The 504 Horror Files,” where I listen every night as callers recount strange things they've experienced firsthand. The dead knocking at the door, calls from empty rooms, news reports foretold in advance, extra people appearing in photographs... I thought they were all carefully made-up stories, until submissions from different eras began pointing to the same name, the same broadcast studio, and a midnight show that had been deliberately erased.

Even stranger, my voice appeared on a recording sealed away in 1988.

As the show's ratings continue to climb, I gradually realize that some of the callers don't belong to this era, and I'm not just the host of the stories.

At 12:04 a.m., the phone rings again

Keep listening. Don't hang up.
