[Period setting + miraculous doctor + raising children + daily life + military marriage + no golden finger + slow burn]
When Su Yunjin opened her eyes, she had become a “bring disaster to the family” widow in the 1970s, abused by her in-laws and freshly bereaved of her husband.
When her vicious mother-in-law tried to sell her granddaughter for a bride price, Su Yunjin struck back, paralyzing the old hag with a silver needle. Then she wrote a letter severing ties and took the four adorable “baggage” children on a thousand-mile journey to the military unit where their supposedly “fallen in battle” father had served!
Who says no one wants a widow with children?
With one hand, Su Yunjin healed the sick. With the other, she raised her children and built a prosperous life.
The eldest was steady, like a little adult; the second was quick-witted and mischievous; the third was strong enough to eat for an army; and the fourth was so sweet and adorable that everyone doted on them.
Everyone waited to see the orphaned mother and children starve to death.
But then...
With her miraculous medical skills, Su Yunjin became the living Bodhisattva of the military compound!
Life grew more prosperous by the day, and all four children grew plump and rosy-cheeked.
Then one day, the cold-faced regiment commander who was rumored to have “died in service” returned.
Looking at the four children running around the courtyard and his wife, beautiful as a celestial maiden, Commander Xie’s eyes reddened. “Wife, I’m sorry I’m late.”
Su Yunjin gave a cold laugh. “Don’t call me that. I came to the military compound to become a miracle doctor, not to find a man!”
See how this fiery mom outsmarts her way through raising children, catches spies, treats difficult illnesses, and turns life in the 1970s into a poem!
Four stars feels too much. It's written so carelessly. It clearly says there is no space but then talks about space in the middle. It's obvious that the children are all brought their own meals. And yet it's really nonsense to say that the food in the kindergarten canteen is not nutritious.
