If you’ve somehow fallen into Gensokyo too, don’t panic just because you see a youkai.
There are shrine maidens, magicians, kappa, tengu, and even a nuclear fusion reactor guarded by a Hell Raven.
When I first found that out, there was only one question on my mind:
If you’ve already got nuclear fusion, why are the human villages still stumbling around in the dark?
Later, I realized that Gensokyo’s problem was never whether it had technology. It was who controlled that technology, and what it would become in this world.
So, starting with steam engines, clock towers, and workshops, a small organization called the “Gensokyo Outside-World Technology Bureau” set out to bring powers once possessed only by a select few into the villages, the fields, and ordinary households.
But none of us expected that when the machines started running, they would give rise to more than just a new way of life.
There would also be new youkai, a new order, and new common knowledge.
Lin Yuan, A Mechanical Tale of the East
About the original work: This is a Touhou Project fan work, written out of love for Gensokyo. It may differ from the original setting, so please be understanding.
About the characters: I’m worried about messing up the characters I love. If you think I haven’t quite captured someone’s personality, feel free to point it out anytime. I’ll take your feedback to heart!
Finally, I hope everyone can find happiness in Gensokyo~
All I can say about this kind of book is: Very insightful So many people, so few
It's good to watch, but it's really uncomfortable to watch. I want to watch it and fast forward to the 2nd Gensokyo vs. Communism Construction.
