In the third year of Yongchang in the Jin Dynasty, Hu Zhang, a young man from a poor family, froze to death in a ruined temple due to hunger and cold. When he was dying, he held tightly the broken "Mo Jing" that he had obtained by chance, which changed his destiny but also caused his death. Because he copied the ancient star map in the temple, he was slandered as "spying on the secrets of heaven and plotting evil". He was framed by the nobles, his close friends betrayed him, his mentor died tragically, and eventually his family was ruined. When he opened his eyes again, he was reborn three years ago, on that rainy night when he had just picked up the "Mo Jing".
